Kimberly (Kimmy) Moniz, MSW, LCSW is a clinical social worker holding clinical licenses in both North Carolina and Massachusetts with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Kimmy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her work in community-based mental health care providing in-home and outpatient therapy to adults, children and families. Kimmy also brings in experience from working in private practice over the past several years. 


Kimmy is the founder of Firm Foundation Therapy PLLC and is passionate in serving the community through working with teens and adults and helping them overcome feelings of depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, trauma, increase self-esteem, and learn ways to use skills that promote resiliency and empowerment. Kimmy specializes in grief, life transitions, relationship issues and anxiety. Her approach is person-centered with an emphasis on being trauma informed and uses various modalities and tailors treatment to individual needs and preferences. Kimmy believes in creating an environment where people feel safe, seen and understood. 


In her free time she can be found reading, spending time with her dogs, doing photography, watching her favorite shows over and over again or hanging out with friends and family. She encourages authenticity and honesty in relationships and in the therapy space. She wants the best outcome for those she works with and is deeply committed to the healing processes.
